Welcome to Ginny's Guitar Lab, where we believe that music is a universal language. Since our establishment in 2010, we have dedicated ourselves to nurturing aspiring musicians through personalized guitar, vocals. bass, piano/keyboard, drums and ukulele lessons. We also offer band ensemble group lessons. Our mission is to inspire creativity and confidence in every student, whether they are learning in our studio, at local schools, or online.

Michael Ginsberg
Owner
Program Director / Lead Instructor
Michael Ginsberg is the founder, owner, and operator of Ginny’s Guitar Lab, where he merges decades of musical expertise with a deep passion for teaching. With a Bachelor of Contemporary Music from Southern Cross University, Michael specialises in guitar but also offers tuition in bass guitar, ukulele, piano, drums, and vocal coaching, making him a versatile educator.
A seasoned professional touring musician, Michael has performed extensively across Australia with a variety of bands and productions. His current projects include the country-rock outfit Nashville Rd, the large-scale theatre production Big Stadium Rock, and Made In Australia Presents AOD, a tribute to iconic Australian bands like The Angels, Divinyls, and Midnight Oil. He also plays with Spizz and the Business, a high-energy party rock band known for their electrifying performances.
With a career that spans live performance, touring, songwriting, and music education, Michael brings invaluable industry knowledge to every lesson. His dedication to nurturing musicians, coupled with his extensive stage experience, has established him as both an accomplished performer and a respected mentor in the music community. Through Ginny’s Guitar Lab, Michael aims to inspire guitarists of all skill levels while fostering a vibrant musical environment.
Maddie Apilo
Vocal Coach
Piano Instructor / Guitar Instructor (beginner)
Maddie Apilo is an enthusiastic and dedicated instrumental instructor at Ginny’s Guitar Lab, bringing a wealth of knowledge and experience to her students. With a Bachelor of Contemporary Music from Southern Cross University, Maddie has honed her skills in various musical disciplines, making her a versatile teacher.
Specialising in vocal coaching, Maddie has a passion for helping students discover their unique voices and develop their singing techniques. In addition to her vocal expertise, she is a knowledgeable piano instructor, adept at guiding learners through the intricacies of the instrument. Maddie also teaches beginner guitar, making music accessible to those just starting their journey.
Her strong foundation in music theory allows her to provide comprehensive lessons that enhance her students’ understanding of musical concepts. With her patient approach and commitment to fostering a love for music, Maddie is dedicated to empowering her students to achieve their musical goals.
